Our client, an internationally active provider of IT and back-office services and catering to the BFSI industry is currently on the lookout for two (2) Senior Data Scientists for immediate placement.

The company provides bespoke fund administration solution for hedge funds and middle/back office support service provider for family offices since more than 15 yrs. Offering a full suite of services encompassing; fund administration, middle and back office outsourcing, operational support, software implementation and related services to hedges funds and family offices. Their offices are spread across 5 countries with 7 offices, close to 700+ headcount.

Responsibilities and Duties:

In this special role as Data Scientist, you need to carry a fair amount of domain knowledge from the Capital Markets / Asset Management / Wealth Management sector, along with the mathematical, statistical technical and analytical skills required to carry out your activities as a Data Scientist.

  • Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques

  • Data mining using state-of-the-art methods

  • Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems

  • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis

  • Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner

  • Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance

Desired Candidate Profile 

  • 5-10 years experience in financial markets - Capital Markets / Asset Management / Wealth Management 

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in relevant disciplines (Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical/Software Engineering)

  • 5+ years of experience in data mining, machine learning and statistical modeling

  • Solid understanding of the underlying statistical theory and predictive modeling lifecycle

  • Proven track record of building and demonstrating business value from predictive models and data products in Capital Markets / Asset Management / Wealth Management 

  • Highly proficient in building statistical and algorithmic models with complex and large data sets such as supervised statistical learning, times-series analysis, regression analysis, data visualization and deep learning

  • Experience with Python, Spark,TensorFlow, Kafka or KDB / Q to see and understand large amount of data

  • Experience using business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, D3.js, and Power BI) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Azure Data warehouse, AWS Redshift, etc)

  • In-depth data science, machine learning and analytical knowledge to let data tell stories
